Demo Guide

Step-by-step scenarios for presenting the system. Each scenario takes a few minutes. Open the apps side by side — a laptop for the TV app and TV Manager, a phone for the mobile app works well.

Demo sign-in details for TV Manager and CMS are listed on the demo site.

1. TV and phone connection

Pair a phone with the in-room TV and watch the TV follow the phone.

  1. Open the TV app. A QR code and a 6-digit code appear for room 633.
  2. Open the mobile app and tap START.
  3. Scan the QR code — or tap Enter code from TV and type the 6-digit code.
  4. The TV switches to the connected screen.
  5. Switch tabs on the phone (HomeGuest Services). The TV follows.

For a quick demo without a phone, click the QR code on the TV screen. This simulates a phone connecting.

2. TV monitoring and power control

Show that staff can see every TV and turn screens off and on remotely.

This scenario needs a TV that has been installed — see TV Installation.

  1. Open TV ManagerTVs. The TV shows as On.
  2. Press Off. The TV screen turns off, but the TV stays online and the status changes to Screen off.
  3. Press On. The screen comes back.

The point to make: the TV keeps running while the screen is off, so it can always be reached again.

3. Service requests

A guest asks for something from their phone; staff see it instantly and track it to completion.

  1. Open TV Manager → Service Requests.
  2. On the phone, open Guest Services, tap Request on Housekeeping, add a note, and send it.
  3. The request appears in TV Manager immediately as Pending.
  4. Press Start, then Done ✓.

4. Content management

Staff change what guests see; the TV reflects it immediately.

  1. Open the CMSMovies.
  2. Press + Add Movie, or Edit an existing title, and save.
  3. The TV's movie list shows the change.

5. Check-in and check-out (optional)

Needs an installed TV.

  1. In TV Manager → TVs, press Check In on the TV, enter a guest name, and confirm. The TV restarts and greets the guest by name.
  2. Press Check Out. Any connected phone is disconnected and the TV restarts in a clean state for the next guest.
