Dashboard and issues

The Dashboard (the console's first screen) shows how the hotel is doing right now and the issues that are open. What you see depends on your areas.

Part What it shows
Today Guests in house, arriving and leaving today, and open requests β€” press one to open its screen
Rooms Rooms in house and vacant; Make up room, Do not disturb and Skip the clean from the courtesy panels
TVs One state per room β€” On, Screen off, Preset failed, Offline, No TV β€” and how often the TVs were online in the last 24 hours
Room devices Rooms whose devices the building system read OK, Slow (over 4 seconds), Failing or Not checked, and how fast the building system answers. Each room's last 24 hours is in IoT Manager β†’ Device status (shown only with Room devices in the site's service package)
Notices Things to know that are not problems β€” a slow room, a temperature 2 Β°C or more from its setpoint, scent diffusers waiting for connection, a TV whose preset needs a reboot, rooms without devices. Folded into one line; open it with β–Ύ, and dismiss a notice with Γ— (it comes back if it changes)
Issues The open issues as cards; Past and the search find earlier ones

These are operations checks β€” the building system, the TVs and other equipment in the hotel. A problem here is in the hotel, not in this console; problems in the console itself are found by the solution's own tests before a version reaches the hotel.

How it checks

Every 15 minutes, on its own:

Checks are kept for 30 days. Simulated rooms are checked too. Devices of a supplier that is not connected yet β€” the scent diffusers until Deepscent is set up β€” are not counted as failures; they show as a notice.

Issues

An issue follows a problem until it is fixed. Each card shows the room, who must act, the title, a line of detail, its status and when it was opened. Past lists the resolved and closed ones, newest first. The search box finds an issue by room, by words in it, or by its number (#12), in either tab.

Who must act Meaning
Watching Opened by the 15-minute check. The checks watch it and close it by themselves when the room or TV passes again
Needs a person Someone at the hotel or a supplier must act β€” a TV to switch on, the building system's supplier to call. A Watching issue still failing after an hour moves here
Needs a fix The software must change. It is sent to the developers

Press a card to open the issue:

Report a problem

Report a problem (above the issues) files a problem the checks cannot see β€” a guest complaint, a black screen, a console screen that does not work. Say what you saw, the room and what it is about, then Check with AI:

  1. First check β€” a fast decision model sorts the report: not an issue, a setting to fix, needs a person at the hotel or needs the developers, how sure it is, how serious, and whether a guest is affected.
  2. What it is Β· what to do β€” the AI reads the last 24 hours of checks and says what it is. For a wrong setting or something that is not an issue it gives the fix right away; otherwise what a person must check now.
  3. Next β€” no issue needed; or an issue for a person (Create issue); or one for the developers (Create and send to developers sends it at once). When the first check is sure, a draft of the issue is always ready to edit.

File as written files the report as you typed it (Needs a person). Nothing is filed until you press a button. Do not include guest names or other personal details.
