TV Installation
This guide is for installers setting up LG ProCentric TVs in guest rooms. TVs set themselves up the first time they start — the installer only enters the room number.
Before you start
The hotel's TV head-end must point TVs at the ProCentric server below. This is done once for the whole hotel, not per TV.
| Head-end setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Server (host) | pcr-tv.pages.dev |
| Port | 443 |
| Protocol | HTTPS |
TVs then load the application list from
https://pcr-tv.pages.dev/procentric/application/xait.xml by themselves. The
path is fixed by the TV firmware and is not entered anywhere.
The same address is shown at the top of the TVs screen in TV Manager.
Installing a TV
- Power on the TV. It loads the Pullman TV app automatically.
- The setup screen appears. It shows the TV's serial number, model, and network address. This only happens on a TV that has not been set up before.
- Enter the room number with the remote's number keys, then press OK (or ENTER).
- Wait while the TV is configured. The screen shows each step: finding the room, applying the hotel's TV settings, and registering the TV.
- The TV restarts if a setting requires it. After the restart it opens directly in guest mode.
The TV is now installed. It appears in TV Manager within about half a minute, shown as online.
A TV that is already set up skips the setup screen and starts in guest mode every time.
What the setup applies
The settings come from TV Manager → Preset. By default: Full HD output, hidden channel banner, remote troubleshooting enabled, and the power mode that lets staff turn the screen off and on remotely.
Troubleshooting
"This serial is already registered"
The TV was set up before and its registration still exists. Ask a TV Manager user to Remove the TV's registration, then restart the TV. See Re-installing a TV.
"This TV is deactivated"
Someone deactivated this TV in TV Manager. Setup cannot complete while the old registration exists — have it Removed, then restart the TV.
"Room … was not found in the database"
The room number is not known to the system. Check the number. The TV can still be registered, but it will not be linked to the room's guest information until the room exists.
"Setting failed: …"
The TV refused one of the settings. Setup continues and the TV is still registered. Note the setting name and report it.
"Reboot failed. Please power-cycle the TV manually."
Turn the TV off and on at the wall. Everything else has already been done.
The TV shows the guest screen instead of the setup screen
Either the TV is already registered (possibly pre-registered in TV Manager), or the TV app could not reach the TV's system functions. Check TV Manager: if the TV is listed there, it is registered. Note that a pre-registered TV skips setup and does not receive the preset.
The TV is installed but shows "Offline" in TV Manager
Check the TV's network connection. A TV is shown online once it reports in, which happens every 30 seconds while the TV app is running.
